A busy day

We had a busy day today. First of all, we have a contractor doing some drywall repair in our sunroom. He was a very popular guy with both Malik and Sophie keeping track of his every move. He'll be here again tomorrow and I expect that the peanut gallery will be on duty again.



Nicole and Avalon came for a visit today from Cedar Falls. It was great to spend the afternoon with them. Avalon is a huge Backyardigans fan and was watching a video when Malik woke up from his nap (thus the stoic look).



We also took a trip to the bakery. Avalon and Malik held hands the entire way (I'm about 100% sure this was initiated by Avalon). Avalon stated, "Malik is my best friend...see...he is holding my hand!"
