Malik has really enjoyed his Art Center class this year. He goes every Tuesday morning and has gotten to experience weaving, working with clay, lots of painting, and many other fun things with his 5 classmates and teacher, Miss Lisa.
The Art Center held an "Artist's Exhibit" this past weekend where each student was able to display one item from the year so far. Malik chose his awesome blue robot. It was fun to look at all the different items and to see the progression of abilities from preschool through high school.
Last Sunday, the 3-5 year olds were given the opportunity to sing in "big church". They performed three songs. Malik did a nice job of doing some of the motions and standing still in his spot. Not much singing or smiling occurred from, but I was proud of him for going up without a fight. Standing in front of close to 800 people can be a bit overwhelming for anyone!
