This past Friday was Grandparent's Day at Malik's school. Grandpa Dave, Grandma Connie, and Grandma Phyllis were able to attend. They watched the K-5 grades put on a program of singing and drama, had a coffee/cookie time, spent time in Malik's classroom, and ate lunch with him. It was a full and busy morning!
Malik's classroom, which is already filled to the brim on normal days, must have been overflowing with their 55 guests! Thanks for coming-
Grandpa Dave and Grandma Connie were able to stay for the weekend. We hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving, so we were glad to have that time with them. The boys always enjoy playing a car racing game on Grandpa's Ipad.
We also had a belated celebration of Grandma's birthday. We ate at the Chinese buffet, shared some small gifts, and had a great cherry pie from the Pella Nursery. We're always glad for an excuse to have one of their pies!
On Saturday we attended the annual Easter Egg Hunt on the square. It's really just a bunch of wrapped candy thrown all over the grass and then the kids pick it up. But, hey, they have fun and it's less candy for me to buy.
On Saturday we also had an early celebration for Elias' birthday which is coming up in May. Grandpa and Grandma bought frosted cookies from the bakery...because we certainly hadn't had enough sugar yet.
They gave Elias this awesome Avengers Jet. It'll be a favorite for both boys for a long time.
The weather was beautiful on Saturday so we dyed our Easter eggs outside.
We always end up with a picture on the last morning with the boys in their pajamas. One of these days I'll remember to do it sooner. Thanks for the great visit!
