We have been celebrating Elias' 4th birthday for weeks now. It's just how things go around here. The never-ending birthday.
We started with a combined dinner out to Happy Joe's to celebrate Elias and our dear friend, Terry, who has her birthday on the 6th. Pizza and ice cream were eaten, gifts were exchanged, and some serious ski-ball was played. It was great fun for all.
We celebrated all day at home on the 15th, his actual birthday. Gifts at each meal, favorite foods, and a play date with a favorite friend in the afternoon. It was a fantastic day.
He wanted a schnauzer dog. How he even knows what a schnauzer is, I don't know, but he was happy with this little guy-
Birthdays always start at our house with streamers on your bedroom door and Mickey Mouse pancakes-
He chose Culvers for dinner-
His 'big' present was a little pitching machine for outside use. However, it was raining, so we tried it out in the sun room. Nice swing!
The following Sunday, we had a combined celebration with Greg's family. It included a belated gift for Grandma Phyllis and a surprise party for Uncle Tony. We all met up at Rock Creek State Park, which is about 35 minutes from our house. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a lot of fun.

This past weekend, we had a belated celebration with friends at our house.
His cake request: a lion, flamingo, monkey in a tree, alligator in water, and a schnauzer dog (there it is again!)-
We played, "Chase the Cat." Greg was the cat and once he was tagged, he threw out wrapped candy on the ground for the kids to collect for their bags. They thought it was wonderful. I'm never buying another pinata again!
It was a gorgeous night and much watermelon was consumed!
