A weekend with Grandpa and Grandma

Grandpa Dave and Grandma Connie came for a visit this weekend.  We took the opportunity to take a little trip up to Ames to the Reiman Gardens to see their current Lego exhibit.  The sculptures were pretty cool!

Lots of pretty flowers as well-

Not everyone has had their picture taken with the world's largest gnome!

Attempting to build the largest tower of the day.  They might have made the record except it fell apart when they tried to move it-

It started raining on us near the end of the tour-

We also spent some time in the butterfly house.  It's amazing to see all the different kinds flying around.  Elias liked their sugar-water dishes.  He kept saying, "Look!  The butterfly is drinking his lemonade!"

After we left the gardens, we met up with Uncle Tony and all had lunch at Hickory Park.  I guess I failed to get a picture of us there, sorry Tony!

Grandpa and Grandma brought an early birthday present for Malik - a new Lego set!  Guess who has already built and rebuilt it at least three times???

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!
