After we opened our gifts at my dad's house, we headed to Linton (about an hour drive or so) to have Christmas lunch with my aunt, uncle, cousin and his family. It's always good to see them and we had a great time.
We were originally planning on staying Christmas night at my dad's house but due to an impending storm, we left for home that afternoon. We were able to stay ahead of the storm and in retrospect are sure we made the right decision - they ended up getting 14 inches of snow! We chose to stay at a hotel on the way home as well, as it was rather dark and some of the roads were beginning to become questionable. We were sorry that our trip ended up getting shortened on both ends, but were glad we were able to see everyone at least for a while!

Their dog wasn't sure what to make of the remote control car. You kind of had to be there, but it was pretty funny to watch her chase and bark at it!
Jordyn (my cousin's daughter) is a senior in high school and can always be counted on to help entertain our kids!
