Malik mentioned several weeks ago that he wanted to go to the zoo before school started so he, Elias, and I made a quick morning trip up to the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines. It had been a couple of years since we were last there and they had added several more exhibits. This zoo continues to be a good fit in size for the boys. They have a nice variety of animals but not so much that the walking becomes overwhelming.
Zoo pictures are never great. It's usually the backsides of the kids as they look at the animals!
