And so the catching up begins...
Our zoo pass was going to expire the end of April so we made one last trip while we could. My good friend Terry came with me and the boys. It was a beautiful day and even though some of the animals weren't out yet due to construction, we had a wonderful day.
I always think it's hard to take pictures at the zoo. Most of them end up being the back of the boys while they're trying to look at the animals. These are some of the better ones...
In the Australia section, many of the animals just roam around in the same area as the visitors. Here you see a Wallaby. The boys spent several days after our trip hopping around the house just like one!
I'm not sure why this picture is sideways, sorry. This peacock was beautiful and seemed to know it. It just sat on top of this chair letting people get surprisingly close to take pictures. Too bad it didn't fan out it's tail!
Crazy Koi fish. They act like they've never been fed, even though the exact opposite is true, since they are fed continually by all of the children.
We enjoyed a nice picnic after seeing the animals. Truly, a wonderful day!
