Jeff and Wendy have an apple tree of some sort in their yard. We originally thought it was a crab apple tree but the longer we looked at it the less sure we became. Regardless of type, the boys spent most of one morning figuring out how to knock as many of the apples off as possible. A broom handle may have been involved. After the loot was acquired, an apple restaurant was opened and some delicious pretend treats were served.
Later in the day we headed over to the playground at the school Trey will be attending this fall. Everyone had fun playing on the equipment, including Wendy!
We left for home the following morning. Our time with them always goes so fast and we had such a wonderful trip. Ten hours later, we arrived in Pella. We're reminded of how fortunate we are to have such great relationships with our families and of how much we wish we could see each other more often!
