After several fun-filled days in Indiana, we packed up the car and drove six hours north to Grand Rapids, Michigan where Jeff and Wendy recently moved. After four years of cramming into their little apartment in Chicago, it was a treat to enjoy their new three bedroom/three bathroom home! We all had a great time together...
We spent our first full day there at the beach at Lake Michigan. It was about a 40 minute drive away from their house and a perfect day to be there. Sunny, but not too hot. All of the boys (young and old) enjoyed digging and building in the sand. Elias thought the waves/water were too loud, so he wouldn't go in but Trey, Malik, and Chase had a lot of fun jumping waves and scooping up water to bring to their sandcastle.
